Music 4 Medicine ’24, an event created by Inspire Music Australia, merges the healing power of music with those who heal us.
Each year a medical charity or initiative is chosen and a concert featuring Australia’s emerging artists alongside an established mentor artist is hosted. Funds raised will be donated to the charity.
For 2024 the Royal Flying Doctor Service will be supported with a concert at Wollongong Town Hall, with two extraordinary young Australian artists in recital.
WollCon is pleased to announce Annabel Wouters is one of the emerging artists selected for this concert, and will be playing flute alongside Harpist Paul Nicolau.
WollCon student Annabel is no stranger to Inspire Music Australia events, having performed in the emerging concert series last year and this year.
Both Annabel and Paul will be supporting Australian pianist Vivian Choi Milton – an international performer who will dazzle audiences with solo pieces.
The WollCon Flute ensemble will open this extraordinary Town Hall concert with a short medley of works.
The Program includes music that spans centuries and cultures, composers include: Bizet, Clarke, Schocker, Hindson, Debussy, Edwards, Larkin, Albéniz and Ravel.
Our friends at INSPIRE MUSIC are offering a special WollCon Family Ticket price for the concert: $60 for 2 adults and 2 children.
The code (to access special family price) is: flyingdoctors24
