WOLLCON turned 50 years old in 2022 and the community was invited to the year-long party, including a spectacular two-day Music Festival in September.
The milestone birthday was a springboard to showcase everything WollCon contributes to the musical life of the region and how it delivers positive change through music.

It presented sell out concerts in Wollongong Town Hall celebrating its Jazz and Classical departments, had a band in residence for the year supporting community musicians, and commissioned new music by its alumni and performed at their concerts.

The finale was a new music composition involving all WollCon staff performed at the 2-day music festival.
