Positive Change Through Music
Flame Tree Project
The Flame Tree Project choir will provide children of the Illawarra with the opportunity to develop and perform original compositions that connect to where we live.
The choir will learn and perform new songs by Australian composers together with Kate Whitworth and a choreographer over 4 full days (23/24 July & August days TBC) during Term 3, 2022 at WollCon, before performing to the community throughout the year.
Brought together with the support and collaboration of the Coomaditchie Aboriginal United Corporation, IMB Community Foundation and WollCon, the Flame Tree Project will be managed by Kate Whitworth who has had many years of experience with children’s choirs.
The choir will learn and perform new songs by Australian composers: Andrew Howes, Josephine Gibson, Rachel Bruerville and Annie Kwok.
