The TDBQ showcases jazz singer and songwriter Trish Delaney-Brown (Idea of North; ABC Jazz) in her element – part of a small, tight ensemble performing original material in which the voice functions both as storyteller, and as an additional instrument, wordless and blended.
“…classy and mature and massively skilled … a deep pleasure”.
Joined by the generous, talented and totally swinging Nic Cecire (drums); Jeremy Sawkins (guitar); Karl Dunnicliff (bass) and Greg Coffin (keys), Trish will be delivering a tasty selection of songs from the Great American Songbook as well as original material from her 2018 ARIA shortlisted album ‘The Game”, and new works from her upcoming album – rediscovering, reimagining and exploring through song what this whole Life business is about.
Be ready for all the feels – musical and emotional!
“..Trish Delaney-Brown ..shines over ‘The Game’. The album offers proof of her perfect grasp of jazz singing; a challenging range of expression through its multiplicity of textures – from blues to latin-funk to urbane pop and back home to the jazz and the jazz ballad. if you want to hear how good it gets, take a listen.”
“Trish sings the truth every time. When I need to hear beautiful singing I go and hear Trish Delaney-Brown”.
