WollCon is proud to be part of this fundraising concert which also features violinist Cedar Newman, whose ‘breathtakingly virtuosic performance’ (Helen Muse, City News) is gaining attention, and our own BlueScope Youth Orchestra.

The infusion of jazz into classical music and the exploration of form and tonal centres during this period brought new colours and excitement to the classical genre. Hear Gershwin/Heifetz, Porgy and Bess Suite-Ravel’s Blues Sonata for Violin and Piano -Bloch’s - Poeme Mystique and Prokofiev’s, Songs Without Words.
WollCon’s BlueScope Youth Orchestra will perform music presented during its recent tour of NewZealand with repertoire by much loved composers such as Dvorkas and Sibelius in a program unified by folk and dance traditions.
For 52 years MSF has provided medical humanitarian assistance to save lives and ease the suffering of people in crises, they operate in more than 70 countries. We celebrate their commitment in a concert of music, funds raised through ticket sales and donations will go to support their work.
