The orchestra will be performing a program of selected pieces from Argentina, Mexico and Spain, and will be accompanied by the Fellows from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

“I’m really passionate about community music and bringing people together. This concert will be especially fun with the Fellows from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra joining us. It has been wonderful working with the Fellows who are helping WollCon’s community orchestra musicians grow their skills.”

Conductor of WollCon Community Orchestra

Growing out of the long running South Coast Orchestra, the Wollongong Conservatorium Community Orchestra presented a one-off concert in December 2015 at The Music Lounge, and the following year became established as part of the Wollcon Community Music Program. The orchestra is now an established part of the Wollongong music scene, presenting 4 concerts per year.

Entry for this concert is by donation at the door (cash or card), which will be managed by the Friends of WollCon Community Music (FoWCM) – a not-for-profit charity association which supports the region’s community music programs and activities.
