The opportunity to make a real difference in ones learning and life, in a wonderfully vibrant musical community.

Please share a particular career highlight and why it’s special to you.

Even in my career thus far, it is difficult to choose a singular experience. I will share an instance with a student, who found adhering to the rigours of a classical music education, difficult. Undeterred and aware of her musicality, one day, I thought we should try and improvise some music together. Without any hesitation, the two of us began to play and communicated with each other through our simultaneously spontaneous music, better than our words ever could. We have never looked back since.

What’s one piece of music that you’d recommend people listen to?

One-Winged Angel – Rebirth. Composers: Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, Yasunori Nishiki. Arranger: Yuya Mori. Album: Final Fantasy VII Remake Acoustic Arrangements.
