What is it that you love about teaching music – particularly at Wollongong Conservatorium?
Giving others the joy of music through learning an instrument.
Please share a particular career highlight and why it’s special to you.
I performed as a soloist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra as a finalist of the ABC Instrumental and Vocal Competition. I will never forget the thrill of walking out to perform in front of a large symphony orchestra and an even larger audience in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. I had many other wonderful experiences playing in the Opera Orchestra for many years, working with many famous conductors.
What’s one piece of music that you’d recommend people listen to?
At the moment, I am enjoying listening to Sibelius Romance on the violin with Joshua Bell.
