BSYO in Dapto before Bali tour

Fresh from their Red Shield Appeal concert with Wollongong Salvos, BSYO showcased emerging talent with legendary classical music for families in and around Dapto.

BSYO

It’s an exciting time for the BlueScope Youth Orchestra (BSYO) this year, with an influx of new musicians starting in 2024, many of whom will be performing for the first time with WollCon’s premier orchestra.

And, with bassoonist from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellowship program Hayden Burge conducting BSYO, our upcoming concerts are a wonderful opportunity to experience emerging and extremely talented musicians.

This year’s program for BSYO is called ‘The Legends’ … music composed by some of the world’s greatest composers that spans the centuries.

Musical highlights include:
Haydn – Symphony No. 104 – The London
Dvorak – Slavonic Dance No. 15
Brahms – Hungarian Dance No. 1
Vivaldi – La Follia

And, Inspire Music Australia’s Emerging Artists concert performer, and WollCon’s 2023 Concerto winner, Annabel Wouters performed Vivaldi’s Piccolo Concerto.
