SCHOOL CONCERT BAND CONDUCTOR / MUSIC TEACHER VACANCIES
School Band Conductor

WollCon is currently seeking experienced instrumental and/or classroom Teacher/s to join the teaching staff at this leading Regional Conservatorium.  The successful candidate/s will have the opportunity to teach a portfolio of activities in different schools in the Illawarra across the week including the school band program, school music ensembles and our classroom music program.

The role will be focussed on contributing to WollCon’s presence in schools across the Illawarra by delivering school ensembles (principally bands) and classroom music lessons.  There is also the opportunity to build a portfolio of studio teaching to complement activities in schools if that is desirable.

WollCon ideal candidate would be an instrumentalist, ideally a player of a wind instrument to join our Schools Team.

PIANO VACANCIES

WollCon is currently seeking experienced Piano Teacher/s to join the teaching staff at this leading Regional Conservatorium.  The successful candidate/s will have the opportunity to teach a significant portfolio of students.

The role will be focussed on one-to-one studio teaching whilst liaising with colleagues in the Piano Faculty as well as other WollCon staff to ensure students take advantage of opportunities to perform at WollCon events.

The Piano Faculty at WollCon prides itself on the quality of its teaching, its ability to embrace student’s varied musical interests and different stages of development.  It has a high level of success with students opting for formal examinations.  Adult learners and beginners all benefit from the expertise of our Piano Teachers.

SAXOPHONE VACANCIES

WollCon is currently seeking experienced Saxophone Teacher/s to join the teaching staff at this leading Regional Conservatorium.  The successful candidate/s will have the opportunity to teach a significant portfolio of students across the week.

The role will be focussed on one-to-one studio teaching and liaising with ensemble directors to ensure that students have the opportunity to further their musical experiences by playing in a WollCon ensemble.  Experience in a variety of styles including jazz is imperative.  The successful applicant must be able to teach excellent technical skills as well as note reading and jazz specific techniques.

WollCon offers opportunities to music staff to lead ensembles/combos and take part in performances so interest in activities beyond studio teaching may be an advantage.
