2023 was a year of growth for WollCon’s vocal department, with young singers signing up to experience the joy of singing together in our children’s choir. This year, some of our students are ready to take the next step in vocal repertoire and performance, so we’re starting another choir for High School students.
Managed by the extraordinary Kate Whitworth, WollCon is looking for singers to join this emerging ‘yet to be named’ choir. Singers will be extending their skills in phrasing, harmonising, intonation, and sight singing. The repertoire will be varied – including some premier works – and there will be various performance opportunities throughout the year.
Kate is also welcoming choir name suggestions from participants, their families, and the general community.

If you are a high school aged student who wants to supercharge your group singing credentials, when you join our High School Choir you can also attend our Contemporary Youth Chorus for one choir fee.
Set yourself up with some high quality choral singing on Tuesdays, then dive into your vocal boot camp with Head of Voice Trish Delaney-Brown, on Thursdays, with the Contemporary Youth Chorus – a 30 min Vocal Skills workout before attacking exciting 3 & 4 part contemporary, jazz and music theatre repertoire.
