Voice
What genres do you teach?
I am classically trained and have extensive performance experience in opera and musical theatre. While my training is grounded in classical technique, I enjoy teaching a wide range of genres, including classical, musical theatre, contemporary and folk.
What is it that you love about teaching music – particularly at Wollongong Conservatorium?
Music is my passion, and I love sharing that passion with others. I believe music teaches us so much more than simply learning a song. It builds confidence, resilience, creativity and communication, while fostering discipline and teamwork.
Please share a particular career highlight and why it’s special to you.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such dear friends who are exceptional instrumentalists and singers. Every opportunity to perform alongside them is something I truly treasure. There is something incredibly special about standing on stage together, sharing our love of music and the joy of performing.
What’s one piece of music that you’d recommend people listen to?
Ahhhh…. One piece!!!
We performed this work two years ago and I thought it was one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever sung.
