The Bega Valley Youth Orchestra (BVYO) is joining forces with WollCon’s BlueScope Youth Orchestra (BSYO) and Powell Orchestra for a very special collaborative concert! This exciting partnership brings together young musicians from the Bega Valley and Wollongong regions, creating a unique musical experience for our communities.
The orchestras will be rehearsing intensively all day on Saturday, 25 October, before presenting a vibrant performance at the Four Winds Venue (near Bermagui) on Sunday, 26 October at 1:00 PM.
Founded in 2020, BVYO has grown into a welcoming space for young musicians under the guidance of Vanessa Vromans, delivering memorable performances across the region despite challenges like bushfires and the pandemic.
Meanwhile, BSYO, based at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music, has nurtured talented musicians since 1986 and is now under the direction of Tanya Phillips. The orchestra continues to provide training, development, and performance opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally.
This collaboration promises a dynamic program full of energy, skill, and the joy of young musicians making music together. Don’t miss this celebration of talent, community, and the power of orchestral music!
