Music is such an incredible profession to be a part of. It has taken me all around the world. I am so fortunate to have played alongside some incredible artists in the most amazing locations. Living in the UK and working full time performing, writing, and recording was definitely a career highlight.
In the UK I had the opportunity to play to a sold out crowd at Scala supporting Matt Corby, a crowd of thousands at Trafalgar Square alongside West end’s finest musical theatre performers, and play a gig at Ronnie’s Scott’s, London’s most prestigious Jazz venue. I was able to immerse myself in the music scene and I learnt so much.
The ultimate highlight of my career was playing to a packed crowd at the troubadour in London and to look out and see Jimmy Page in the audience listening to our set. I had the opportunity to meet him afterwards and he said our music captivated him and he had to come and listen. It was the most incredible encounter and it will be hard to beat.
What’s one piece of music that you’d recommend people listen to?
“New York Minute” – Don Henley.
