WollCon’s guitar ensemble led by Nigel Jones has been invited to be part of the Music 4 Medicine concert at the Wollongong Town Hall this year, raising funds for Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières).
The ensemble and quartet will be entertaining the audience in a pre-concert performance from 6pm, and the students range in age from 14-24 yrs.
“It’s the first time the WollCon guitar students have been part of this annual event. We’ll be starting with a performance in the foyer from 6pm, just prior to the official concert in the Main Hall.”
MUSIC 4 MEDICINE CONCERT
The concert – managed by Inspire Music Australia – merges the healing power of music with support for those who heal people in crisis. This year, the musical brilliance of pianist Simon Tedeschi and the beautiful voices of local emerging artists Molly Stewart and Olive Cullen will create a night of musical wonder. From piano solos to musical theatre favourites, art songs and arias, this concert is for all ages and all music lovers.
By sharing the joy of music, you help raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières and celebrate outstanding home-grown talent.
Booking a ticket provides a direct contribution to MSF.
